OMAMORI – I want it
omamori
tanzaku
ofuda
all different names for different religions, but we talk about
the same thing: a dream
you’re in the East, Japan mostly
you really believe in a desire and are ready to do everything to get it, you are also ready to ask for the Gods’ help
you go to a temple, take a piece of paper and write
your wish
or a keyword within the scope of your desire
or the name of the Divine to whom you ask for support, for protection
you write it on a piece of paper and offer it to the Gods, maybe wrapped in a beautiful cloth and with a precious knot tied tight to the temple that won’t make it fly away
at that very moment you are telling the Gods that you are so much convinced of what you want to achieve and
you are so aware of the importance that this desire has for you, as to start a battle against the world to get it
and you’re saying it to yourself
you’re proving it to yourself
and you also need the Gods to believe in you as you believe in your dream
in that gesture you’re putting all your dreams
you tie them on the temple wood
fluttering in the wind under the eyes of the Gods
and it is as if you had planted a seed and from now on you will water it every day, you will work for it and you will make it grow strong and vigorous as it is already in your mind, as it is already in the drawer of your dreams
you started something
you threw the first stone and you believe in it, damn!
with love, but always irriverent
