and then there are branches, pieces of tree, twisted roots, towering fresh shoots that, when placed in the context of a drawing, create a mood of growth, elevation, and rooting
rooting that is stoic and natural, unshakable, like the root that generated us and stands within us, beautiful, powerful, proud, and inviolable
like a tree that grows and makes its way, towers upwards, seeks the light
and finds it
and enjoys it
tree branches that perhaps do not have a specific associative meaning, but serve only to create an archaic, ancient, and inexorable mood
