A WOODWORM 2.0

Hello!

I guess you didn’t expect this message from me today, but the surprises start right here

the appointment for the design of your tattoo is approaching, and I have a very important task to entrust to you

now, let me explain…
first of all, let’s start with the assumption that you contacted me because you want to get a tattoo to pay the right tribute to someone special, someone in particular: it could be your favorite singer, the idol of the crowds, or the scientist who changed the world, the revolutionary writer, or even your dog ^_^ or to celebrate the arrival of your daughter or in memory of your grandmother

in any case, here and now, two paths open up before us to create the perfect tribute tattoo that suits you and your personality ^_^ and you will have to choose the one that suits you best

before telling you about the two paths that lie ahead, I need to give you a preamble about my perspective on tattoos:

I think about our body as if it is a great book
and each tattoo is a chapter of this book
and the chapters are many and all connected to each other obviously, the story of the book is one, but in a few day we will have the opportunity to tell only one chapter

we don’t have the space of a comic, which has so many scenes to tell a story
we have only one page
one image
only one shot
to tell and deliver something directly to those who see it (including you)

So what will we need to focus on for it to work?
about emotions

not about history, absolutely

we will not tell: “it’s happened this, and this, and this …So-and-so did this and that and the other.”
no! I would like to tell what was truly important for you
what makes this being so special?
I know it’s special, but why?
there must be something inside you that made all the difference, otherwise, you wouldn’t be here getting a tattoo just for this special being ^_^

if we can focus precisely on the meaning we want to convey, then we will be able to convey it

it’s called: “visual communication”

someone will ask me:
yes, but I would also like to talk about this unique characteristic of theirs because it’s truly peculiar
however, I want to narrate about that day as well…because it was epic
Oh, how can I not mention that thing they did that changed everything?

I know, a book is made up of many chapters that are all connected to each other, otherwise they would all be different books…

I don’t want to play the part of the bitch who says “this no, this yes, this no ..”
but I want to make you understand that if we are concentrated we will truly be able to convey an emotion
otherwise, we’ll just end up with a big jumble, and none of the things you adore about this special being ^_^ will be conveyed

a few days ago, a girl came in to get a tattoo in memory of her little dog who has been gone for about a year

the initial idea was to tattoo the dog’s snout, or at least part of it, with some details filled with love, like “heart, sun, and love”

but as we discussed it together, we outlined the distinctive features of the dog’s character and all the quirky gestures he made, or the little games he was crazy about

then we talked about how this little ball of fur had turned the client’s life upside down, especially her personality and her approach to life and love
we discussed how she became more aware of her strength, courageous, and how and why this “WE” was so important, how this “WE” changed the cards on the table for the girl

in the end, the client got a tattoo of a woman’s face fused with a cheetah’s snout, in a Wonderland-like vegetal setting: her untouched and perfect place where she feels connected to her animal side and loves and appreciates it and gives it space

quite different from the dog’s snout with hearts and sweetness, isn’t it? ^_^

here’s what I would like to do with you: find the superpower of the special being for whom you want to get a tattoo, or discover the superpower you have thanks to your encounter with them

so, I would like you to answer a question:

would you like to tattoo the special person and their superpowers, or would you like to tattoo the emotions that bind you to this special person and the superpowers you have discovered thanks to them?

there’s no right or wrong answer…

if you’re getting a tribute tattoo for a famous figure, like that typical one of Albert Einstein, for example, it often happens that you focus on Albert’s superpowers and unique characteristics that made him so iconic and likely the reason he’s such an example for you, inspiring you to be like him

on the other hand, if you’re getting a tattoo for your daughter, it often happens that you might want to convey a small trace of her character
this trace might have been the spark that opened new perspectives for you, or her arrival might have revealed a new sense of love, one that you really appreciate
perhaps it’s because, thanks to her, you now know you have a protective strength within you that can move mountains, and you’re not afraid to use it, maybe before, you were timid and defenseless…

well, these are the tasks I entrust to you:

ask yourself the question: why do I want to tattoo a tribute to this special being?
is it because they are an icon who changed the world, and I want to be like them, or is it because I’m proud to have known this person, and it was so epic that it changed the course of my life?

then, start identifying the whys and hows connected to this answer, and prepare three responses, three characteristics, three superpowers, three feelings, three moods, three emotions… three of whatever you like ^_^

of course, you’ll respond to me verbally when we meet for the design, and I’ll guide you on the path that best represents you ^_^

Have a nice day,
