THE GOLD FISH – self-sabotage
the goldfish swims all day inside a 30cm water bubble that the man built for it
It was born inside a societal water bubble and doesn’t know that the sea exists…
it swims all day slowly and in circles, around itself
it doesn’t know that the sea exists and that it could swim fast, along with other fish, straight toward where it wants to go…
IT DOESN’T KNOW
this is what society does to us
it encloses us in a bubble, driving us crazy by swimming in circles, chasing rhythms, patterns, schedules, clichés, fashions, and settings… and it doesn’t let us know that we can do much more
it takes away our time
sometimes, however, we voluntarily put ourselves in this situation
sometimes, things happen beyond our control that make us aware of our possibilities, qualities
absurd things that throw us into the open sea, and we don’t really know whether to drown or not. But then, perhaps, we discover that we can swim… happier than ever, faster than ever, wherever we want
outside the common patterns
we break free from our triangle of private affairs, from our water bubble, and finally, the thousand ideas that have always swirled in our heads suddenly encounter space and time
With love, but always irreverent
